Biography
Lily Jude Truebenbach is a creative artist based in Cambridge, MN. She is passionate about the value of performing arts and shows this through her work, active and engaging leadership style, as well as her thoughtful understanding of self expression and storytelling. Her focus is fostering a love for arts in her audience and students. With an emphasis on body positivity and creative expression, she believes arts education has the power to change minds and shape lives through empathy, empowerment, and community engagement.
From a young age, Lily has always been drawn to the performing arts. Singing with her father since birth, starting dance at the age of four, discovering live theater at ten, starting a band and songwriting at seventeen, earning both of her associates degrees, and eventually becoming a teaching artist in all of those areas as an adult, Lily Jude has truly been honing her craft all of her life.
She has been choreographing for seven years and teaching dance recreationally to beginner and intermediate level dancers for three years. She enjoys collaborating with other artists as well as teaching the arts. In addition to her seven years of working experience, she holds two associates degrees in theater and liberal arts, both from Anoka Ramsey Community College. She is also currently working towards her bachelor’s degree. She takes dance classes, writes stories, produces music, and performs. Outside of the arts, Lily likes to practice yoga, do art projects, and drink tea!
Her past work experience involves working with artists of all ages and abilities. Some of her favorite projects/career highlights have been working with The Penguin Project (musical theater for young artists with special needs), writing and producing her original dance adaptations (Wonderland and Snow Queen) with Northern Starz Creative Dance Center, receiving an Everything Minnesota Music Award for the album she co-wrote with her bandmates of She’s My Sister, and her current project, writing and producing her debut solo album as a singer/songwriter in collaboration with F5 Soundhouse.
